Raindance Means Raindance
27th Raindance Film Festival Trailer
Raindance Means Raindance
Producer of the 27th Raindance Film Festival trailer, the largest independent film festival in the UK.
Directed by Simon Hunter (Lighthouse, The Mutant Chronicles, Edie), the trailer follows a french news reporter wandering the deserted streets of a post-Brexit London in 2023, only to stumble upon the Raindance Film Festival still going strong.
The trailer, as with all Raindance trailers, was made on a budget of £1000. This proved a hugely difficult obstacle considering the ambition of the project, which demanded a great deal of logistics, shooting run and gun early in the morning across Central London to convey an abandoned London, as well as a large amount of visual effects.
The trailer premiered at the Vue Leicester Square, followed by a screening at the Raindance Icon Award ceremony at the May Fair Hotel, seen to applause by Olivia Colman and friends.
