it’s cool to be nice. it’s nice to be cool. he’s neither.
A stylish comedy drama about e-cigarettes, generational divides, egos, and, well... coffee. An homage to Paul Thomas Anderson's 1993 short film "Cigarettes & Coffee", but with a fresh British style, the film follows Phillip, a man in his fifties who has just discovered the revolutionary invention of an e-cigarette, and he has to persuade a much younger acquaintance is better than normal cigarettes at any cost. Philip’s behaviour goes south however, when to his dismay the waitress says he can’t smoke his e-cigarette inside.
winner of the FOMI short film competition 2020.
